Evanston and Suffrage

The Evanston Women’s History Project website features the story the local suffrage movement in Evanston Women and the Fight for the Vote. Biographies of Evanston women and histories of Evanston women’s organizations involved in the suffrage movement are included, as well as primary and secondary sources.

Frances Willard, the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union, the Evanston Political Equality League, Elizabeth Boynton Harbert and Catharine Waugh McCulloch are among those highlighted.
